General Terms and Conditions - FKFS Academy

1. General
The Forschungsinstitut für Kraftfahrwesen und Fahrzeugmotoren Stuttgart - FKFS -, Pfaffenwaldring 12, 70569 Stuttgart offers a variety of courses within the FKFS Academy. For the booking of one or several courses the following General Terms and Conditions are valid. Provisions to the contrary need to be confirmed in writing by FKFS.


2. Number of Participants
The number of participants is limited.


3. Registration and Confirmation
You may register by the online registration form on the FKFS homepage, in writing by email or post. Upon arrival of the registration you will receive a written confirmation. Since the number of participants is limited, registrations will be considered in order of arrival. Should one course be booked completely you will be notified. Your contact information will be saved in our electronic data base for internal purpose. This information will not be forwarded to third parties.


4. Cancellation by the Participant
You may cancel your participation in writing by email, or post up until 4 weeks prior the beginning of the event. In case of cancellation we will charge a processing fee of 60,- € + VAT. After this date you will be charged the full course fees unless you provide a participant in substitution for your registration. A change of registration to one of the other courses requires a cancellation and new registration.


5. Cancellation by the Organizer
FKFS reserves the right to cancel the event due to organizational or technical reasons such as illness of the lecturer, number of participants below the minimum required, force majeure, or other circumstances that are not in the responsibility of FKFS. In case of cancellation through FKFS, we will try to change your booking to one of the other courses if you agree. If not we will reimburse you for the already remitted course fees. Should the event be cancelled altogether, we will refund the registration fee. Beyond that, there is no entitlement to the reimbursement of further expenditures.


6. Course Fees and Payment Policies
You will receive an invoice in writing via email. We ask for payment within 14 days after receiving of this invoice. The course fees include course materials, lunch on every full course day as well as refreshments during breaks.

 

7. Copyright
The copyright for the provided course materials belongs to the lecturers. No part of the materials, not even excerpts, may be reproduced or distributed in any form – especially under usage of electronic systems - without previous written permission.


8. Governing Law and Court of Jurisdiction

German law applies. Jurisdication is Stuttgart. These terms and conditions exist in German and English. In the event of a discrepancy or ambiguity, the German version is binding.


9. Miscellaneous Provisions

Should one or more provisions of the conditions be or became invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions remains unaffected.
