The FKFS is an independent institute and provides research and development services for the international automotive industry.

To this end, it operates various highly specialized test facilities and test vehicles, including several wind tunnels, Europe's largest driving simulator at a research facility, a powertrain test bench for hybrid and conventional vehicles, and numerous engine test benches. In-house developed measurement and testing methods enable the institute to solve complex and challenging tasks. Many years of experience in the development and application of simulation tools complement the range of services.

Around 180 highly qualified and dedicated employees work on research and development projects in the fields of vehicle drives, automotive engineering, mechatronics and electromobility. Founded in 1930, the foundation cooperates closely with the Institute for Combustion Engines and Automotive Engineering at the University of Stuttgart.

Das GreenTeam Uni Stuttgart e.V. wurde im Oktober 2009 gegründet und nimmt seitdem erfolgreich an der Formula Student teil, einem weltweit renommierten Konstruktionswettbewerb für Studierende. Das Team besteht aktuell aus 58 Studierenden verschiedenster Fachrichtungen und Nationalitäten, die Jahr für Jahr mit großem Engagement einen innovativen Prototypen-Batterieelektrischen Rennwagen entwickeln, fertigen und testen.
Ermöglicht werden die Projekte durch großzügige Zuwendungen der Sponsoren und Unterstützern. Seit 2010 ist das Stuttgarter-Team ununterbrochen in den Top 10 der Weltrangliste der Elektro-Rennwagen vertreten und belegt derzeit sogar den ersten Platz.

Im Jahr 2022 erreichten sie einen bemerkenswerten Meilenstein, als sie den Weltrekord für die schnellste Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 km/h in nur 1,461 Sekunden aufstellten.
Darüber hinaus wurden sie im selben Jahr zum vierten Mal Deutscher Meister und absolvierten in diesem Jahr mit vier Siegen in fünf Rennen Ihre erfolgreichste Saison.

Neural Concept develops Deep Learning algorithms for enhanced engineering. By speeding up R&D cycles, augmenting product performance, and solving their next engineering challenges, we revolutionize how our customers design their products. Our platform, Neural Concept Shape (NCS), brings intelligence to engineering workflows by merging data-science and deep learning into CAE/CAD workflows. The company was founded in 2018 in a top-notch AI research lab at EPFL in Switzerland. We are a team of 40 members fully committed to our vision, which is to revolutionize the future of industrial engineering with intelligence.

Being one of the leading providers of IT solutions in Germany, Werum has been realizing sophisticated software and systems for a global range of customers for more than 50 years. Among them are renowned companies from the automobile, aerospace and medical technology industry as well as public authorities and scientific institutes.

Our activities focus on process support mainly in the areas of test data and information management, earth observation, eGovernment and enterprise information management. Specifically developed software platforms create the basis for our innovative IT solutions. Especially in case of customers with integrated test tasks and validation processes they support the optimization of processes and workflows in different areas and to the required level of detail. In this context, the integration into existing IT landscapes also plays an essential role.

We are looking back on many years of experience in data management and in the automation of large-scale test facilities, in particular of wind tunnels. Therefore, we can offer our customers proficient analysis and consulting services on any IT aspects relating to their individual task settings. Long-term servicing, maintenance and support for the solutions delivered are naturally included in our range of services.
