Current Situation As traditional physical security layers are eliminated, and new consolidated hardware and virtual environments become more common, there are new cyber security challenges. By understanding new hardware capabilities on the market, we can enhance the security posture of microcontrollers, enabling software consolidation while limiting security compromise. In our new innovative research, we’ll outline: New threats in virtualized environments. Most recent hardware-supported methods to mitigate cyber threats. Critical techniques to boost cyber security of microcontrollers handling various operating environments as: hardware partitioning, memory protection, and isolation. About Author Dr. Popova studied telecommunications at Moscow City Technical University of Communications Engineering and Informatics and made her Ph-D at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg on the subject of "Quality of service-oriented traffic theory methods for the provision of different services in cellular networks". After holding various positions in the software and automotive industries, she is now responsible for cyber security trends in the German automotive industry at Argus Cyber Security.
